At last, oversized blooms on undersized plants. Tropical Yellow has the same big, abundant blooms found on giant cannas, but on a lush 2½-foot plant compact enough to grow in a container. And it blooms in just 90 days from seed—quick, economical, and so beautiful.
Tropical is the first canna series from seed, and this color is among its most beautiful members. The base of each petal is a luminous yellow-gold, frequently overlaid with a wash of tiny freckles sporting apricot, beige, or pink tones. Unusual and very dramatic.
The bright blooms begin in early summer and continue until the cold weather of autumn arrives—early in the season in many climates, much later in warmer areas. In the subtropical temperatures of zones 10 and 11 this canna will be evergreen.
Tropical Yellow will bring you year after year of enjoyment. Space plants 18 inches apart in full sun and well-drained soil amended with organic matter.
